Drive to Mt. Rainier Paradise Lodge - a "must do"

Sunday, July 12th, 2009.

Join us for our Annual Drive to Mt. Rainier and fantastic brunch at Paradise Lodge on Sunday, July 12th, 2009. This is a NEW DATE, so mark your calendars now. The Paradise Lodge was built in 1917 and has recently been upgraded and is in fine shape. Debuting this year is the new Visitor’s Center, taking the place of the torn down Jackson Visitor’s Center. The mountain views and alpine flowers remain untouched and spectacular as ever. Plus, if you take a hike you can get a peek at the marmots sunning on the rocks.

We meet at 7:15 am at the McDonald’s at the foot of Kennydale Hill in Renton. Off I-405 take the NE 44th Street exit #7. If you want coffee or breakfast, come early, since we need to leave promptly. The parking at Mt. Rainier is very limited and we would like to get a group shot before brunch.

Prices for brunch are unavailable at this time, but last year they were about $35.00 or adults, $31.00 for seniors and kids (under 12) $16.00. Please bring a check made out to JDRC/NWA, so we can pay with a single club check. Sorry no credit cards.

We need a firm RSVP by June 25, 2009. Call Marilyn or Alan Fenstermaker 425.868.6373 or email: windowmaker10@verizon.net with your name and number in group and age designation.

Hope you can join us!
